Ukubomvu Conversions is a newly found company that was established by Andries Bruwer, a businessman with interests in the Vehicle Manufacturing Industry with access to available and competent artisans in the fabrication industry with average experience of 10+ years.

Used vehicle conversions
Mobalyz/SA Taxi is an independently owned commercial business. It is part of the Transaction Capital group of companies which listed on the JSE in June 2012. They are an important part of our unique approach as all the financing of the converted vehicles are facilitated by them. All the commercial banks in South Africa is on their panel of financial institutions. Mobalyz/SA Taxi is also our main supplier of used vehicles at no initial cost to Ukubomvu. These vehicles can therefore be repurposed, making it more affordable for the end-user.
We can also accommodate conversions or upgrades on your existing fleet of vehicles to meet your requirements.
New vehicle sourcing and financing
One of our key suppliers, Toyota SA has also come on board and are offering brand new vehicles for conversion purposes at a very reasonable rate. However we can do conversions on any brand of new vehicle and have the ability to help with sourcing of new vehicles to add to your fleet.

Why we do what we do?
According to statistics the ratio for ambulances available should be 1:10,000 for any population. In our opinion South Africa greatly falls short on these requirements. Ukubomvu conversions endeavors to fill this gap.
We want to partner with the experts in the industry to make a lasting difference and grow our footprint in Southern Africa. We will achieve this through our simplified and practical approach, making it affordable for even the smallest ambulance fleet owner by delivering a product (converted ambulance or
mobile clinic) at a very reduced cost. Savings of up to 40% on the Ambulances and Mobile
clinics are possible because of our unique approach.

Just through this initial phase of our project with Nationwide EMS we will create jobs for 6000 Paramedics, 30 Artisans, 80 Call Center Operators – to name just a few.

For transportation of patients to and from clinics.
These type of conversions can also come with Off-road capabilities to help transport patients from inaccessible and rural areas.
AIR AMBULANCES
Air ambulance options can range from search and rescue to Intensive care units or even sea-rescue. Customized to fit your specific needs.
Commonly based on the BK 117 or EC 135 helicopter models.
